It does not take diners long to realize that dining out at one of our Luna de Noche restaurants is not your usual Tex-Mex experience. Instead, the diner has the best of both worlds. The menu includes traditional Tex-Mex dishes along with entrees that are innovative and delicious! Each Luna de Noche restaurant has a setting that is upscale and beautifully appointed. This is upscale Mexican dining at its best!
Owner, Lisa Galvan, started her career as a single working mother. With a background in accounting, she noticed that some of her friends, who were waitresses, always seemed to have available money. Little did she know at the time that her entry into the food service business as a waitress would be the bottom rung of a ladder that would take her right to the top!
For a brief period she moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she became involved in helping a friend who was struggling with a restaurant. Lisa took over management and came up with a different name for it. Within a short period of time she had turned the restaurant around, and in so doing; realized she had found her true calling.
In February 1998, she opened Luna de Noche in Garland, Texas. Soon after, Luna de Noche was voted Best Mexican Restaurant "Readers' Choice" in the Dallas Observer, 1999. Since then Luna de Noche has won "Best Tex-Mex Restaurant" several times among other accolades from D Magazine, Texas Monthly, and many others.
With the abundance of creative energy, hands-on management style and attention to detail, Lisa Galvan has made her mark in the restaurant industry. There are currently five Luna de Noche locations in the Dallas area.
