Lisa Galvan has always said, that “having these restaurants was a platform for giving and helping people in need”. With that said, she has done this and more. She donates and sponsors many different communities, organizations, causes and people.
Collin County is only one of many. Since 2006 Lisa has been a Corporate Sponsor for the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, donating money, caterings for their events and Gift Certificates for their Auctions. She is very involved with the Plano schools; she has provided many scholarships to Hispanic students from Plano East High School, with one student in mind, she sponsored a young teen from Plano East Senior High this year for a educational trip to Washington, D.C. to receive an award, with no money to pay for her expense, she sought out people/businesses to help sponsor her trip, once Lisa was contacted through her Restaurants to participate, she jumped at the opportunity to help a young, smart and eager to achieve student and Lisa paid for her entire trip. “Anything for our youth”, as she puts it.
Lisa also sponsors many of Plano East Senior high and Plano West high school Athletic programs such as, 2005 Plano East Senior High School Athletic Program book, the 2006 cheerleader pompom pass outs for Plano East & West high school, Football T-Shirt sponsorship, Sponsoring the Plano East Lacrosse team, Plano West 2002, 2003 & 2004 Football Program, Plano West 2004 Winter Poster sponsorship. Lisa has donated Gift Certificates for silent Auctions for Numerous schools and organizations such as, McCall Elementary, Plano Richardson Alumnae Pan-Hellenic Association, Weatherford Elementary, Plano East and West after prom event, Plano Independent School District Teacher of the year Gala, Calvary Chapel, Boy Scouts of America Plano Troop 890, Carpenter Middle School PTA fundraising event, 2007 Plano Special Olympics, to name a few.
She has also made cash donation Sponsorships to The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center of Collin County, Shepton High School Ad for their Athletic Program, Super Star Sponsorship for the Home Aid/ Home Builders Care, Discount cards for raising money for the Plano Troop 999 Fundraising Event, Lisa has also donated many Caterings and or Food donations such as, once a year Providing food for the Volunteer Luncheon for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Collin County, Carpenter Middle School Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Hickey Elementary Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Plano East After Prom Event donating chips and queso for the students, to name only a few. She has spent her entire day at Carpenter Middle School for “Career Day” putting on a cooking demonstration and talking to the students about the importance of education, leadership and gumption.
In just the last two years Lisa has donated over $147,000.00 in Gift Certificates, Sponsorships and Donated Caterings.
